MARY ANN'S NOTES: This is a good substantial sort of dish that you can throw together fast, since the ingredients are things that we can keep as staples and serve on a moment's notice. Anyway, it sure beats the usual humdrum recipes that we come up with. It has a nice mellow blend of flavoring, not at all sour, ketchupy or extra spicy like the name would suggest. My mouth is watering just thinking about this dish and we'll certainly have it on the menu again soon. (Why, John doesn't even have to take Maalox afterwards.) :-)

Also, I have halved this recipe since we're a small family. If you wish to serve 6 instead of 3, the ingredients would be doubled except for the ketchup and water, of which you would use 2/3 cup each. From: Maryann36@juno.Com (Mary Ann Youndate: Sat, 16 Nov 1996 22:53:16 Est
